Islamic Society: Women's Rights
Nayereh Tohidi of Cal State Northridge will speak Tuesday, March 9 at 7 pm on Women's Rights in Islamic Society. The event will be at Soka University, in recognition of International Women’s Day. Tohidi has combined her academic career studying women and gender issues with community activism. She has served as a consultant to the United nations and presented at the World Conferences on Women in both 1985 and 1995.
